"'Something in the air' es una canción que surgió de la nada", explica Lauren. "Estaba en Londres terminando otra canción con mi amigo, coguionista y productor Dan McDougall. Estábamos haciendo un descanso en la cocina compartida del complejo de estudios cuando un músico británico bastante icónico, al que no voy a criticar aquí, entró y empezó a entablar conversación sobre la electricidad, el 5G y cómo nos está enfermando a todos. Dan y yo fuimos a dar una vuelta a la manzana antes de volver al estudio y estuvimos desgranando esas teorías, y por qué la gente quiere creerlas… y la letra del estribillo apareció sin más".
