Grand romantic es el primer álbum en solitario de Nate Ruess (Fun.), y es que el de Iowa se confiesa como un romántico empedernido.
Con producción de colaboradores habituales como Jeff Bhasker (Beyoncé, Drake) y Emile Haynie (Eminem, Kanye West, Lana Del Rey).
Pre-producido y grabado en una casa de alquiler en Nichols Canyon (Los Ángeles), Bashker, Hayne y Ruess no escatimaron en colaboraciones: Beck en la fronteriza What this world is coming to, Jeff Tweedy (Wilco) en la balada Take it back, Lykke Li en la épica Nothing without love, y Josh Klinghoffer (guitarrista de Red Hot Chili Peppers) en casi todos los temas.
Como primer single oficial el mencionado Nothing without love. También como sencillos previos al lanzamiento AhHa, Great big storm, y What this world is coming to.
