Muchos hablan de Coldplay como los nuevos U2. Personalmente, los veo más cerca de R.E.M., quizá por esa vena independiente que tienen, pese a ser originales de continentes distintos.
Pues bien, los vocalistas de los dos grupos Michael Stipe (R.E.M.) y Chris Martin (Coldplay), se han unido para interpretar el tema In the sun de Joseph Arthur. El objetivo es recaudar dinero a favor de los damnificados del huracán Katrina.
Según informa nme.com, el tema será estrenado el 5 de febrero en la serie de televisión Grey's Anatomy, y un día después será puesto a la venta a través de iTunes.
También han participado al piano Adam Schlesinger (Foutains of Wayne) y James Iha (ex-Smashing Pumpkins), co-produciendo junto a Stipe.
Una versión será un remix mezclado por Justin Timberlake y will.i.am.
