Ya se conocen las nominaciones para los American Music Awards 2006 (AMA). Con tres posibilidades de premio parten como favoritos Mariah Carey, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Eyed Peas y Nickelback. Con dos nominaciones parten Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Eminem, Jamie Foxx, Pussycat Dolls, Rascal Flatts, T.I., Carrie Underwood y Kanye West.
La ceremonia de entrega se celebrará en el Shrine Auditorium de Los Angeles el 21 de noviembre.
