Good job es un adelanto del álbum ALICIA de Alicia Keys (2020). Una canción compuesta junto a su marido, Swizz Beatz.
Disponible como parte de la asamblea global de CNN que aborda preguntas e inquietudes en la lucha contra COVID-19. CNN también incluye la canción en su campaña Heroes, que rinde homenaje a las personas corrientes que se han convertido en héroes durante la crisis del COVID-19.
"La nueva canción de Alicia captura perfectamente lo mejor de lo que hemos visto durante esta pandemia: la gente corriente que ha dado un paso adelante para responder al llamado del deber cuando el mundo más los necesita", dijo Jeff Zucker, presidente de WarnerMedia News & Sports. "Es un honor unirse a Alicia para compartir este trabajo tan inspirador con el mundo y reconocer a todos estos héroes".
La canción se escribió originalmente para rendir homenaje a los héroes olvidados que formaron parte de la vida de Keys, como su propia madre -que siendo madre soltera luchó para sacar adelante a sus hijos en el barrio de Hell's Kitchen de Nueva York- y muchos otros que, a menudo, ella veía ignorados. A raíz de la actual pandemia mundial, Alicia se dio cuenta de que su mensaje coincidía con el momento.
"Ya sea que estés en primera línea en los hospitales, combinando trabajo, familia y educación en casa; entregando correo, paquetes o alimentos o enfrentando otras dificultades personales debido al COVID-19, estoy contigo. La gente te ve, te quiere y aprecia profundamente", dijo Keys.
