Lights es la séptima pista y tercer avance del disco Things are great de Band of horses (2022).
Con una letra compuesta por Ben Bridwell que reflexiona: "Estaba con mi familia en un hotel con parque acuático cubierto. En mi último día allí, caminando por el pasillo este tipo me soltó: ¿Ben? Resultó ser el tipo que estaba produciendo la película para la que estaba escribiendo una partitura. Nos reunimos en el bar del hotel, que cerraba a las 22:00h, momento en el que terminamos ambos en el parking. Nos soltamos un poco, nada demasiado loco, pero terminamos esquivando a los guardas de seguridad. La historia continúa cuando llegamos a casa y descubro que alguien ha entrado. Con los policías que llegaron para investigarlo nos encontramos con más gente apuntando la luz hacia nosotros, de una manera u otra. En la canción dibujo metáforas aquí y allá de esa noche y estas dos historias. Además, las cosas no me estaban yendo demasiado bien en ese momento, y esto se refleja también en la canción". "De una forma más metafórica", continúa Bridwell, "la canción estaba destinada a ser levanta-ánimos y en cierto modo lo que estoy deseando es una mejor existencia. Estoy superando las cosas que han salido mal en mi vida. Las luces se encienden, lo que significa que es un día mejor".
