Solitude of the night bus es la sexta pista y el primer avance del álbum Pink cactus café de Courteeners (2024).
Hablando sobre la canción en un comunicado de prensa, Liam Fray comentó: "Esto llegó en un momento de verdadero cuestionamiento. Las cosas no iban particularmente bien. Sin confianza. Sin dirección. Creo que es por eso, susúrralo, que es divertido. Este es el nuevo nosotros". Añade: "Es una brisa de verano. Pero es una noche de invierno. De cualquier manera, a veces hay que bloquear el ruido. A mi difunto tío Pat le encantaba el silbido, así que es una especie de homenaje a él. Sube al autobús; auriculares puestos; ve por tu propio camino. Es el éxito del verano con síndrome del impostor para sentirse bien".
La canción cuenta con un video oficial dirigido por Dom Foster (The Coral, Paul Heaton), el vídeo que acompaña a la canción muestra a Fray en un viaje nocturno a bordo de un autobús nocturno número 17, donde la vibrante obra de arte de 'Pink Cactus Café' cobra vida a su alrededor durante todo el viaje.
