Hunger es el segundo single de High as hope (2018), un álbum de Florence + The Machine.
Aunando un texto íntimo y de honestidad cruda, con un sentido de la aceptación más amplio. En 'Hunger' de hecho se reconocen esas lagunas de nuestra psique que intentamos llenar con amor y odio, obsesiones o adicciones, aunque en suma, solo uno es capaz de satisfacerse a si mismo de forma efectiva. Como Florence expresa: "esta canción trata sobre las formas en que buscamos amor en las cosas que quizás no lo sean y de como los intentos de sentirnos menos solos nos pueden a veces aislar aun más. Supongo que en esta canción me he permitido una vulnerabilidad aun mayor en pos de animar a la comunión, porque quizás haya muchas más personas que nos sintamos así de las que son capaces de admitirlo. A veces cuando no puedes decirlo, puedes cantarlo".
La canción cuenta con un vídeo dirigido por Andres Gonzalez Rojas (Jack White, Kamasi Washington, Leonard Cohen), estrenado el 3 de mayo de 2018.
