La banda habla sobre Parachute: "Cuando escribimos el primer disco fuimos muy directos, fue poco lo que era necesario explicar. Las canciones parecían hablar por sí mismas e hicieron todo el trabajo duro por nosotros. Parachute es bastante auto-explicativo y un poco de un regreso a eso. Tal vez la primera canción de amor que hemos escrito desde Ruby. En el último disco estábamos tratando de decir demasiado a gran escala. Significados ocultos, un trasfondo político y una seriedad prematura. Sabíamos que era un disco importante para nosotros, así que tal vez olvidamos lo que nos hizo ser losKaiser Chiefs.
