Wish you the best es el cuarto adelanto del álbum Broken by desire to be heavenly sent de Lewis Capaldi (2023). Coescrito en parte en Los Ángeles con JP Saxe y Malay, y terminado en casa en Glasgow.
"'Wish you the best' surgió de la idea de una persona con la que solías estar, que te contaba todas estas cosas increíbles sobre su vida, sin ti", explicó Lewis. "Es una canción sobre lo que no le decimos a esa gente. Estaba fascinado por las cosas que no se decían, ya sea en una relación o en una amistad".
El video sigue a un cartero mayor llamado John y su fiel compañero, un perro desaliñado y de rostro dulce llamado Willow. A medida que se desarrolla, arroja una luz cálida sobre el dolor devastador de la pérdida y el poder redentor del amor, infundiendo cada momento con el tipo de verdad emocional no afectada que deja una huella duradera en el corazón.
Lanzamiento el 14 de abril de 2023. El video oficial se estrena un día después.
