Rememora algunas de las noches de su época en One Direction: "Cada vez que tenía tiempo libre, iba a Manchester a pasar las noches con mis amigos. Me hizo darme cuenta de que ya no vivía en el mundo real y lo echaba de menos. Me encantaba ser normal, imprudente y estúpido. Fue el mejor escape. Nos quedábamos despiertos toda la noche, hablando de nuestros sueños y de lo que pensábamos que nos iba a pasar. Esa edad es una época muy emocionante. No tienes idea de lo que te depara el futuro, pero tienes tanto potencial. ¿Hacia dónde se dirige mi vida? ¿Quién sabe?".
"El coro de 'We made it' es también sobre mí y los fans. Entre nosotros, ha costado mucho llegar hasta aquí. He tenido que trabajar muy duro, he tenido que aprender mucho sobre mí mismo. Siento que sólo cuando salga de gira, para cantar estas canciones directamente a los fans, habré cimentado el inicio de mi carrera en solitario".
