The man de Aloe Blacc es una canción que debuta en el número 1 de la lista británica de singles. Es el primer número 1 del artista en solitario, quien colaborara aportando voces (aunque no estuviera acreditado) en el Wake me up de Avicii.
Lo más importante de la canción a nivel melódico está heredado del Your song (1971) de Elton John que alcanzara en la misma lista mencionada el puesto 7 cuando se lanzó de forma original, y el nº4 cuando se re-lanzó en el año 2002.
La canción suena en un polémico anuncio de la marca Beats by Dre. Protagonizado por Cesc Fàbregas y su viaje hasta el Santiago Bernabéu para disputar el Real-Barça, en el que se escuchan diferentes cánticos a favor del Real y de España, y en contra del Barça y Cataluña. El futbolista se pone los cascos para aislarse de ese entorno que mezcla fútbol y política, y escuchar The man de Aloe Blacc.
