Fight song es la canción que aporta el título a un EP (2015) de Rachel Platten, con el que debuta para Columbia Records. Y también de su tercer álbum que se publica a continuación, Wildfire (2016). Una oda al optimismo, de la que Taylor Swift comenta: "Es una canción increíble, y ella es una artista increíble. La gente tiene que saber de esto. La canción a la que me refiero se llama Fight song".
El tema narra la historia de la propia Rachel, su lucha para hacerse un hueco como artista y cumplir sus sueños como cantante. De una relación fallida y un momento depresivo sin fuerzas para salir adelante, ella extrae una composición optimista y luchadora.
